About Me

My name is Aneesh Chaganty and I graduated from the Film Production at the University of Southern California. Since then, I’ve written a feature film, developed a slate of ideas ranging from TV sitcom to tentpole flick, freelanced for companies and directed this spot for Google Glass: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvo6ls7edUQ

Before starting the MAD Challenge, I came to the realization that no passion can truly flourish without study and without deep understanding of theory. Such is the example proven by nearly every filmic inspiration and influence of mine. Coupled with my love of film, I decided the MAD Challenge would be a great, albeit intense, way to immerse myself in the medium.

I wish I could personally thank every viewer who visits this site or gives me feedback, because – as it cheesy as it sounds – it really does push me forward. More specifically, I’d like to thank Francois Truffaut, Martin Scorcese, Roger Ebert, and Quentin Tarantino for being the cinephiles they are (or were) and for inspiring me to always watch more and always strive to learn more about film. On a more personal note, I want to thank my family and close friends for encouraging me to continue during impossible times. Balancing a full schedule, work schedules, social schedules, and filmmaking schedules with a MAD schedule was no easy feat. It was because of them that I came out of this thing alive. And I really did come out as a different artist. I can only hope the future has more in store.
